Taking Time [Daily Program]

Planned activities, including music, movement, creative arts, cooking, science and dramatic play, all are designed to build each child's self image.

Bread and Roses staff members encourage an active thought process, creative problem solving and take the time to help children verbalize their emotions and resolve difficulties in constructive and fulfilling ways.

Staff encourage gentleness, sharing, assertiveness, intellectual development, athletic prowess and sensitivity in both boys and girls.

Lifelong Relationships

The Bread and Roses staff includes individuals who have dedicated a lifetime to a philosophy that promotes and appreciates the uniqueness of each child. Special dietary and health concerns are respected by all.

Family parties and potlucks, fundraisers and work days at Bread and Roses offer a sense of community for children and parents.

Daily Program

Bread & Roses Opens at 7:30 AM and closes at 5:30 PM sharp.

7:30 - 9:00	Free play, small group projects, one to one time. GOOD TIME TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN
9:00 - 9:30	Clean up bathroom and wash hands for snack, stories, calendar and weather.
9:30 -10:00	Snack time - Fresh fruit, Milk, Cereal.
10:00 - 10:30	Activities: Art, Science, Dramatic Play, Large Muscle, Nature, Fine Motor, Music.
10:30 - 11:00	Bathroom. Get ready to go outside (divide into groups for large muscle activities inside).
11:00 - 11:30	Outside
11:30 - 11:45	Hand-washing and stories.
11:45 - 12:30	Lunch
12:30 - 1:00	All morning children have left.
1:00 - 1:30	GOOD TIME TO CALL TO TALK WITH PHYLLIS
	Resters get up. Free play. GOOD TIME TO BRING AFTERNOON CHILDREN
2:45 - 3:00	Bathroom and clean-up.
3:00 - 3:15	Stories, Calendar and Weather.
3:15 - 3:40	Snack - Juice, Apples and Crackers.
3:40 - 4:10	Activities, including small motor activities, large motor activites and a project.
4:10 - 4:15	Bathroom
4:15 - 5:00	Outside or Large Motor Activities.
5:00 - 5:30	Stories
